Whitestone group counselling
If you are looking for an in-person women’s group, you may be interested in the Whitestone Counselling group! It's not your traditional group counselling!
We will integrate counselling therapies that touch on the body, mind, and spirit. We will provide a safe opportunity to come together to validate and gain trust with other women; uncovering collective wisdom.
We will explore research-driven somatic practices that address stress, trauma, and anxiety at a body level. We will learn how to move toward healthy self-regulation from overwhelming emotions.
Focusing on good mental health is beneficial by engaging in new ways of thinking, shifting our inner stories, questioning our assumptions, and creating resilience.
Spiritual formation is key to engaging with your Life Source to inspire, support, and empower you toward purpose and healthy living.
The content includes breathing exercises, movements that help regulate the nervous system, mindfulness, cognitive therapy, group sharing, attachment therapy, imaginative meditation, Lectio Divina, storytelling, and nature encounters. Every week will include an art expression! Plus snacks and beverages!
What you need to know
Group 1 - Twice a month on a Thursday 2023
Time: 12 noon - 1:45 pm. (Feb. 2, Feb. 16, Mar. 2, Mar. 30, Apr. 13, Apr. 27, May 11, May 25, June 8, June 22)
Cost Option 1: $85/a group session + cost of supplies (pay at the beginning of each month). Receipts are given at the end of each month.
Cost Option 2: $800.00/all ten sessions (pay at registration and the cost of supplies at the beginning of each month). Receipts will be given at registration.
Cancellation Policy: If you don’t pay at the beginning of the month, you forfeit your spots. You may cancel 48 hours before your group session with no money return, only a rescheduling to another day.
Location: 1047 Stevens St. White Rock, B.C.
Group Details - 8 -10 women 19 years old and above (I need at least 4 women registered to go ahead with the group). You can sign up for as many or as few as you want.
Group 2 - Twice a month on a Saturday 2023
Time: 10:00 am – 11:45 am. (Feb. 4, Feb. 18, Mar. 4, Apr. 1, Apr. 15, Apr. 29, May 13, May 27, June 10, June 24)
Cost Option 1: $85/a group session + cost of supplies (pay at the beginning of each month). Receipts are given at the end of each month.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR
The group facilitator is Barb Borthistle, a Registered Professional (Clinical) Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counselling Association. She has received her Master of Leadership. She has designed the At the Table Mentoring course, Soul Spas, and Whitestone Group Counselling. She loves her roles as counsellor, coach, wife, and mother. She enjoys creating beauty, loving extravagantly, and offering a safe place to process.
